THEATRE MAPS & GUIDES

FOUR DISTINCT STAGES

FESTIVAL THEATRE | 55 Queen Street

Built in 1953, the Festival Theatre's revolutionary thrust stage provides a theatrical experience so profound, it has inspired look-alikes around the world. Originally housed in a tent, the stage now sits in an iconic example of Modernist architecture.

The theatre offers special access seating on the orchestra level.

PARKING

Paid parking is available in our lower Queen Street Lot (below the Festival Theatre, at Lakeside Drive). The cost is $25. Parking is only $20 when pre-booked along with your auditorium ticket order. Special access parking (with a valid accessible parking permit) is available in our Upper lot next to the Festival Theatre. Spaces are limited and should be purchased in advance.

Parking may also be available in our Upper Lot for patrons without a disability permit. The cost is $25 and is only available day of show if space permits.

Limited free parking is available along the circular drive in Upper Queen's Park (Richard Monette Way), adjacent to the theatre, and on both sides of the Avon River.

For Motor Coaches/Buses, load and unload in Upper Queen's Park (Richard Monette Way). Please do not remain in the loading zone longer than 15 minutes.

AVON THEATRE | 99 Downie Street

A Stratford landmark since 1900, the downtown Avon Theatre offers the Festival's only traditional proscenium arch stage. The theatre is known for its lavish sets and is also home to family-friendly shows, among other productions.

The theatre offers special access seating on the orchestra level.

PARKING

The City of Stratford offers metered parking around the downtown core. For more information, including Special Access spaces, view the City of Stratford's parking page and parking map.

For Motor Coaches/Buses, please do not load/unload or park in front of the theatre. Loading zones are available on the north side of George Street.

TOM PATTERSON THEATRE | 111 Lakeside Drive

Our newest venue is also our most celebrated, winning five major architectural awards since opening in May 2022. A LEED Gold-registered building, constructed with sustainable and natural materials, the auditorium-bespoke in every way-offers a unique elongated thrust stage and an exceptional viewing experience that brings the action into the audience.

PARKING

Paid parking is available in our Water Street Lot. The cost is $25. Parking is only $20 when pre-booked along with your auditorium ticket order. Special access parking (with a valid accessible parking permit) is available, however, spaces are limited and should be purchased in advance. If you are attending a Lazaridis Hall Forum event, parking may be available at the day-of rate one hour prior to the event-simply drive up and request access from the attendant.

Limited free parking is also available just off Morenz Drive on a first-come, first-served basis.

STUDIO THEATRE | 34 George Street East

Opened in 2002, the Studio Theatre offers a smaller, modified version of the Festival's thrust stage. Situated downtown, at the rear of the Avon Theatre complex, the Studio is wonderfully intimate and well suited to both new and classical work.

The theatre has special access seating available on the main floor just a few feet away from the stage. Entry to all seating (except wheelchair seating) is by steps leading upward from stage level. The auditorium is steeply inclined, and reaching the back rows may be challenging for those with restricted mobility.

PARKING

The City of Stratford offers metered parking around the downtown core. For more information, including Special Access spaces, view the City of Stratford's parking page and parking map.
