Jackie has directed at many theatres across Canada including Tarragon Theatre, Canadian Stage, Charlottetown Festival, Theatre Calgary, Mirvish Productions and St. John's LSPU Hall, and in the United States at Chicago Shakespeare and Arena Stage Washington, D.C., where she most recently directed Watch on the Rhine. She was Artistic Director of Factory Theatre, 1987-1995. She is the recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Medal, 2016 Order of Ontario and two honorary Doctorates.
