The Stratford Festival’s Laboratory is tasked with experimenting with bold, boundary-pushing work. On Friday, June 28, the Lab hosts a free public reading of Sarah Schulman’s very funny script The Lady Hamlet, about two women who compete for both the role of Hamlet and Ophelia’s affections. Schulman is an AIDS historian and an icon of lesbian literature. The reading will feature both company members and guest actors, and will be directed by Nightwood Theatre’s Artistic Director, Andrea Donaldson.
