This page contains answers to some Frequently Asked Questions that members of the Acting Company have had when their Friends and Family come to visit.
Complimentary Tickets
Unless a show is sold out you should always be able to get a write-in ticket for yourself for free when working for the Stratford Festival. For guests you can arrange complimentary or discounted tickets for them online through your staff discount. Eligible performances for staff discounts are updated weekly on Mondays. Available comp tickets are posted 1 week before the performance date. Hot Tip: If you’re attending a performance with your guest, book the cheapest ticket available online using your staff discount and then 15minutes before the show visit the house manager and ask for a write-in for yourself. Give the house manager the paid ticket and ask if you can please sit together. If space allows they will upgrade your paid ticket and seat you together. *Warning: If a show is almost sold out and you want to sit together then you should purchase two tickets as seating will be limited.

Several departments at the Festival work with different hotels in the Stratford area. The Parlour Inn has been great in the past for providing a discount to company members (often their discounts are better in the off peak season). The Stratford Suburban Motel have really nice owners and Fosters Inn will sometimes provide a discount depending on their availability. Another option available is to ask our in house Festival Accommodations (Housing) department to inquire about any vacancies currently available for short term stays.

Go ToGetting from the Airport
The Stratford Airporter is a great independently owned service in Stratford ON, it is a shuttle service which you can book in advance online. The Stratford Festival's in house shuttle often used to pick up/drop off artists at the airport is driven by union members and is not available for personal use*.
Other publicly available options for getting to/from the airport include the OnEx bus or renting a car with Enterprise. For a list of travel options/discounts please visit the Transportation page of this website.
