The Meighen Forum is a series of engaging events designed to illuminate the themes and ideas in our playbill and explore their resonance and relevance in today’s world. A typical Forum season includes concerts, play readings, panel discussions, keynote speakers, workshops and more.
The goal of bringing together our artists and some of the greatest leaders and thinkers of our time on the Meighen Forum program is to open a window into the artistic mind, creating for our audiences a transformational experience that allows our productions to resonate more deeply and personally with each patron and challenging perceptions and assumptions about our work and our society.
While respecting each of your workloads and responsibilities, we may invite you to participate in a Forum event. Any such participation is entirely optional and at your sole discretion, and we give you our assurance that there will be no reprisal for declining to participate. We recognize the complexity of your schedule, the importance of a healthy work/life balance and the potential for your participation in discussions of certain topics to be triggering. Only you can know the potential impacts of your participation on your own wellness. Further, we give you our assurance that you will never be asked to explain a decision not to participate. The terms of each event (and payment, if any) will be outlined to you in the invitation and are determined in part the Stratford Addendum to the CTA (Article 57).
The Meighen Forum team is comprised of Julie Miles, Meighen Forum Director, Gregory McLaughlin, Meighen Forum Manager, and Mira Henderson, Meighen Forum Coordinator (on maternity leave for the 2025 season), James Hyett, Meighen Forum Associate Coordinator and Renate Hanson, Meighen Forum Assistant.
We hope you find The Meighen Forum as inspiring, thought-provoking, entertaining and enlightening as our patrons do. If you have an idea that you think would make a good addition to the Meighen Forum lineup, or are interested in participating in an existing event, please reach out to the team.
